You know your child best — trust that instinct.

Maybe you’ve noticed your child walking on their toes, favouring one side, missing a milestone, or just not moving quite like their peers. Maybe you’ve been told to“wait and see.”You don’t have to navigate that alone, and you shouldn’t have to explain your child’s history to a different therapist every time.At Physioville, one dedicated therapist gets to know your child and stays with them through every visit.

I highly recommend Physioville. From the moment you walk in, the clinic receptionist gives you the warmest welcome, and the calm environment puts you at ease right away. As for the physiotherapy, I cannot thank Amr enough. Ever since we started, he has always been incredibly positive, and that makes all the difference. He is deeply human, highly competent, and very professional. My son absolutely loves him, and the progress we’ve seen is incredible. A fantastic team that truly cares about results

I’ve been struggling with a neck issue since last September and tried multiple physiotherapists with no luck. Amr Aboelnaga at PhysioVille is a miracle worker! In just three weeks, I’ve seen incredible improvement. Highly recommend! He takes the time to truly understand the root of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. The personalized care and expertise he provides make a world of difference in the recovery process."

This person has saved me. I was in so much pain and he made it go away.

Greg Walker

We cannot recommend this physiotherapist enough. From the very first visit, it was clear that he has a true gift for working with children patient, warm, and incredibly encouraging every step of the way. My nephew, began his journey here unable to walk. Thanks to this amazing therapist's dedication and expertise, he learned to walk. If you are a parent looking for someone who will treat your child not just as a patient but as a person, look no further. Your child will feel safe, supported, and motivated to push through every challenge. We are forever grateful and look forward to all the progress still to come as we continue working with him.

Franscisca Nkoengoua

I’ve been seeing Amr for post-concussion symptoms, specifically for vestibular and visual therapy, and honestly, he’s been amazing. He really takes his time and tailors everything to what you’re actually experiencing. I had seen other physios before, but he’s the only one who approached my recovery at the right pace—and I’m finally seeing progress. I’ve also taken my daughter to him, and he’s great with kids... Amr is friendly, patient, and makes them feel comfortable. Radwa at the front desk is always so kind and helpful, especially when trying to book us together. The clinic is clean and bright, and overall just a really positive place to go. Definitely recommend.

How do I know if my childneeds physiotherapy?

If you’ve noticed your child walking on their toes, missing a motor milestone, falling often, favouring one side, or struggling to keep up physically with peers, an assessment is worth it. A physiotherapy assessment doesn’t require a diagnosis — and early identification of motor concerns is one of the strongest predictors of good long-term outcomes.

Will my child see the same therapist every time?

Yes. This is central to how we work. Your child is assigned one dedicated therapist who sees them at every visit — no reassignments, no re-explaining. This continuity matters more for children than for adults, and no other pediatric clinic in Ottawa currently promises it.

Do I need a doctor’s referral for pediatric physiotherapy?

In Ontario, no. You can book a pediatric physiotherapy assessment directly. Some extended health insurance plans ask for a referral before they will reimburse — check with your provider if coverage is important.

Is physiotherapy covered by insurance for my child?

Almost always — most extended health plans include physiotherapy as a covered benefit for dependents. We direct-bill Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield, Blue Cross, Desjardins, and most other major providers. Autism Program funding, SSAH, and ADP are also accepted.

What happens during my child’s first visit?

A 60–90 minute developmental assessment. Your child’s therapist takes a full history, observes movement through play, runs standardized screening, and discusses findings with you the same day. You leave with a personalized treatment plan and a small home program.

What ages do you treat?

Infants through youth — roughly 0 to 18 years. Our pediatric caseload includes toddlers with early motor milestone concerns, preschoolers with coordination challenges, school-aged children with postural issues, and adolescents recovering from sports injuries or concussion.

Is your clinic accessible for strollers or wheelchairs?

Yes. Ground-floor entrance, no stairs, wide doors, and accessible washrooms. Free on-site parking directly outside. Bring the stroller in with you — there’s room.

What if my child is nervous about the appointment?

Completely normal — and we plan for it. The first assessment includes warm-up time, and everything happens through play. Bring a favourite toy or snack. Your child’s therapist meets them where they are that day, not where a protocol says they should be.
